About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Applications Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. As a Co-op Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in measuring the performance of our flagship timing devices for the wireless and data center markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and analyze the typical performance of our phase locked loop (PLL) devices on the bench
  • Automate measurement processes using Python scripting
  • Work extensively in the lab, utilizing oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators
  • Develop a strong understanding of PLL architecture and transmission line effects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve product performance
Requirements
  • Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Coursework in circuit analysis and control system theory
  • Experience with lab equipment and Python programming
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
