About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at SAKURA SUSHI COBOURG. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as managing kitchen operations and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Train staff in food preparation and handling
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to work under pressure
  • Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player
