Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Apprentice Mechanic specializing in trucks and transport vehicles to join our team at CAN-Truck 2009 Inc.. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The work setting is primarily in a garage where the atmosphere can be noisy. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to determine whether to repair or replace units.
  • Review work orders and provide detailed reports on problems and repairs performed.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services and advise customers on future repair needs.
  • Test and adjust systems to meet manufacturer specifications.
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work overtime as required.
  • Dependable and reliable team player with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Flexibility and good judgment in decision-making.

All candidates must be bondable and undergo a criminal record check as well as a driving record check (abstract).

Work Conditions

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week and offers a permanent employment opportunity.
