We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-scale, low-latency ad serving systems for Amazon Advertising.
As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and own Tier 1 services that determine eligibility for ads to be served, working closely with multiple software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Your success will be measured by the quality of your execution, the pace of innovation you drive, and the increased satisfaction you deliver to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop complex customer and advertiser experiences
- Advise senior leadership on technical opportunities and pitfalls to ensure long-term rapid delivery of features
- Lead and inspire teammates to raise the standards in the quality of the software they build
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
The ad serving team is responsible for powering a low-latency, high-scale ad serving workflow for the largest Amazon Advertising product - Sponsored Products.
We own the platform and the data required to serve ads, using technologies like EC2, Fargate, Lambda, SQS, ElasticCache, and S3 to power the platform.
State management with object modeling, GC tuning, and memory optimizations are key areas of focus for the team to drive faster and more optimized ad search results.
Requirements- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
