About the Role:

As a Technical Operations Manager at Finning, you will play a critical role in leading and demonstrating a healthy and safe work environment and culture for all branch employees, contractors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and champion a culture of safety excellence, ensuring compliance with safety practices and policies, and conducting regular spot audits to meet or exceed safety targets.
  • Demonstrate clear and effective leadership to branch employees through role guidance, performance management, coaching, and mentoring, and supporting growth, development, and training opportunities.
  • Provide quality and timely feedback to individuals through formal and informal conversations to support the performance management process.
  • Manage day-to-day branch operations, assets, finances, and facilities, including planning, managing, and reporting of branch financial results.
  • Deliver business results by generating field service opportunities with customers and regional Finning sales representatives, and taking a direct sales leadership role when required.
  • Review and analyze monthly metrics related to People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost with branch employees.
  • Manage the successful execution of Finning's Service Excellence Operational process and customer service commitment within the branch.
  • Own the successful execution of customer contracts and direct timely resolutions to customer issues and goodwill settlements.
  • Investigate service eforms related to variances, service warranty, and service re-do.
  • Create annual budgets, forecasts, and review applicable contract management emails.
  • Pursue monies from CAT recoveries and maximize recovery of components from CAT and OEM.
  • Drive field service sales and execution.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Previous experience on the repair and execution side of business.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to expand technical expertise knowledge base and gain experience.
