Job Title: Automotive Mechanic Helper

Join our team at Fix Auto Uxbridge as an Automotive Mechanic Helper. In this role, you will assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in various tasks related to automotive repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers with tasks assigned by supervisors.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist in the operation, repair, and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure quality workmanship.
Work Environment:

As an Automotive Mechanic Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding job. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a noisy and dusty area.

Requirements:
  • Physically demanding job requiring manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to work in a noisy and dusty area.
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) weight handling.
Personal Qualities:
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
  • Initiative and ability to take on new challenges.
  • Organized and reliable with accurate attention to detail.
  • Client-focused with good judgement.
Experience:

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
