Job Summary:
Durham College is seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Manager, International Recruitment to drive our international student enrollment initiatives. This pivotal role involves crafting and executing recruitment strategies in regional markets to meet and surpass enrollment targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target key markets within assigned regions, employing sophisticated data analysis to align recruitment activities with potential student demand.
- Plan and execute robust marketing campaigns and build a strong network of regional agents to effectively promote Durham College's programs internationally.
- Lead recruitment events both in Canada and internationally, delivering persuasive presentations to maximize student applications and enrollment.
- Monitor the distribution of program seats for international students and manage the allocation of application spots in accordance with the College's Enrolment Management Plan.
- Develop and refine recruitment strategies based on real-time market data, focusing on attracting students from targeted countries.
- Assist in developing strategic recruitment plans that integrate with Durham College's broader Internationalization and Global Engagement (I&GE) Plan.
- Provide expert advice on market trends and recruitment tactics to the Associate Director, International Recruitment and Admissions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a 3-year degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, International Relations, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in international student recruitment, with a demonstrated ability to meet substantial enrollment targets.
- Advanced understanding of international recruitment tactics and proven strategic planning capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks affecting international students in Canada.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify market opportunities and optimize recruitment practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Fluency in a language other than English (e.g. Spanish) is an asset.
- Proven ability to navigate and manage issues related to social, cultural, political and economic diversity. Advanced intercultural competency is essential.
- Experience in managing complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Compensation:
Band 9: $74,175 - $92,720
