Position Overview

The Stock Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our retail environment. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this position is essential for overseeing the inventory management systems within the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the timely processing and prioritization of merchandise receipts while continuously seeking improvements in systems and processes.
  • Ensure the backroom organization meets company standards and is updated according to seasonal requirements.
  • Oversee efficient replenishment processes to maintain a well-stocked sales floor with a variety of styles, colors, and sizes.
  • Monitor and communicate department changes, addressing issues such as sell-through rates and replenishment needs.
  • Execute inventory-related procedures, including handling damages, transfers, and compliance-related tasks.
  • Manage the supply ordering process effectively.
  • Lead the recruitment and development of stock associates, including onboarding and performance assessments.
  • Support the physical inventory and cycle count processes, implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage.
  • Assist in visual merchandising efforts and uphold presentation standards in the store.
  • Contribute to event preparation and execution.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the sales floor and stockroom.
  • Stay informed about product and service updates.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to overall store success.
  • Adhere to all Loss Prevention policies and guidelines.
  • Support the management of the sales floor and sales team as directed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience, preferably in retail.
  • Strong presentation skills suitable for a retail setting.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and approachable demeanor.
  • The ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Skills in building consensus and support for ideas and initiatives.
