Position Overview

The Senior Accountant at L'OCA plays a pivotal role in the financial health of the organization. This position involves a comprehensive approach to cost accounting and inventory management, ensuring that the company maintains optimal financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gathering, interpreting, and presenting cost accounting information.
  • Formulating strategies aimed at cost reduction and analyzing product pricing to maximize return on investment.
  • Overseeing the complete cycle of inventory accounting, including monitoring and analyzing variances.
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory and costing database.
  • Collaborating with internal teams on production costing, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.
  • Supporting month-end financial reporting across multiple accounting ledgers for review and analysis.
  • Assisting in the implementation of systems and processes while providing constructive feedback for enhancements.
  • Coordinating and managing physical inventory counts to ensure the integrity of inventory records.
  • Handling spoilage and interdepartmental transfers effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the retail or food production sectors.
  • CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Familiarity with Netsuite and ECRS Catapult is highly advantageous.
  • Strong financial insight and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting, requiring attendance five days a week, with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary to meet business demands.
