Job Title: Durability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Durability Engineer to support our client in the Automotive Industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct durability tests using MTS real-time hydraulically actuated simulators and analyze data using various data acquisition systems.
  • Coordinate test specimen build, set up data acquisition systems, and operate simulators to ensure accurate results.
  • Communicate test results to Product Engineering and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Investigate durability issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with bargaining unit mechanics to ensure smooth test operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of engineering experience in a testing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of damage severity concepts and experience with data acquisition equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Experience with hydraulically actuated testing using MTS RPC Pro/FlexTest software.
  • Knowledge of nCode and Somat eDAQ equipment.
  • Strain gauge theory and application.
