Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-directed Snow Removal/Loader Operator to join our team at Kicking Horse. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our parking lots and base area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate snow removal and other equipment, including front-end loaders, bobcats, and large snow plows, in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform snow removal maintenance of facilities, parking lots, plaza, and general common areas.
  • Conduct daily light maintenance on equipment, including topping up fluids.
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections, including removal of snow from equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Advocate for health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating a bobcat, large snow plow with bucket attachment, and articulated front-end loader, or comparable equipment with an excellent safety record.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clear abstract.
  • Mechanical aptitude, with an understanding of basic operations and maintenance of equipment.
  • Team-oriented with a desire to make a positive contribution to the entire resort.
  • Effective communication skills with a diverse range of people.
  • Current certification in basic first aid (an asset).
