Diesel Mechanic Apprentice Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at True Value Diesel Repair. As a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you will assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, and diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Order parts and maintain inventory, adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep maintenance reports and documentation, and test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Physical Demands: The job requires physical demands, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
