Diesel Mechanic Apprentice Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at True Value Diesel Repair. As a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you will assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Equivalent experience
  • Dependability
  • Reliability
  • Team player
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
