Position Overview
This role involves supporting laboratory operations by assisting with client sample orders and managing the organization of returned samples for processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general assistance to facilitate lab operations, which may include client interactions, sample processing, and logistics;
- Prioritize tasks based on client needs;
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to company safety protocols;
- Collaborate effectively within a team setting;
- Prepare samples for dispatch and complete necessary documentation;
- Input data into laboratory information management systems;
- Participate in routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold workplace standards;
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by supervisory staff.
Candidate Profile:
- Proficient in English communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing, and reading;
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with technology;
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks with accuracy in a fast-paced environment;
- Highly organized with a strong ability to meet deadlines;
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively;
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and adaptability to various tasks;
- Committed to delivering excellent service with a client-oriented mindset.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
- Experience in a warehouse or fast-paced setting is advantageous;
- Customer service experience is beneficial;
- Valid provincial Class 5 driver's license;
- Knowledge of basic laboratory safety and high school science principles is a plus.
