Your Mission:

Key Responsibilities (90%):

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports, ensuring compliance with the established closing schedule and completion of all necessary closing tasks.
  • Oversee the execution of monthly account reviews, ensuring alignment with our reporting standards.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager in preparing the year-end documentation, coordinating external audit processes, and producing financial statements that meet IFRS standards.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of financial management policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Engage in budgeting processes and monitoring, particularly by analyzing budget variances for balance sheet items on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Provide critical information to the Finance Director to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Evaluate existing accounting practices and suggest improvements.
  • Support and advise the Senior Director of Finance on financial, budgetary, and treasury-related matters and risks.
  • Participate in and validate SR&ED claims.
  • Engage in project assignments as necessary.
  • Assist with payroll functions as required.
  • Define, design, and implement comprehensive internal controls for financial reporting across the organization.
  • Collaborate with consultants on corporate tax issues and filings.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and public company filing obligations.

Contribution to Organizational Development (10%):

  • Participate in relevant meetings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on various initiatives.
  • Contribute to the organization's administrative processes.
  • Stay updated with industry knowledge.

Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting Sciences.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a publicly traded company listed on NASDAQ.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of disclosure, registration, and regulatory requirements for public companies.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Enjoy problem-solving and demonstrate a solution-oriented and creative approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP software, especially Genius.
  • Bilingual proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written.
