We are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Global Banking and Advisory group, you will play a critical role in assessing credit risk and providing expert advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Analysis: Prepare high-quality credit applications and annual reviews of corporate counterparties, assessing their credit quality and recommending appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions.
  2. Financial Projections: Develop financial projections and determine debt repayment capability, ensuring compliance with SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA Credit Policies.
  3. Obligor Risk Ratings: Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings, monitoring compliance with covenants.
  4. Legal Documentation: Review all relevant legal documentation and propose changes as necessary to comply with SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA policies.
  5. Collaboration: Liaise with other teams, business lines, bankers, legal and compliance, operations, and Risk department.
Requirements
  1. Financial Analytical Skills: Possess strong financial analytical skills, including the ability to assess credit terms and conditions.
  2. Commercial and Investment Banking Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of commercial and investment banking products.
  3. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work in a team, interacting with teams located in other locations, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  4. Writing and Research Skills: Possess strong writing and research skills, particularly in assessing and summarizing financial transactions.
  5. Accounting, Legal, and Regulatory Knowledge: Have a good understanding of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors.
  6. Investigation and Analysis: Ability to investigate, research, and synthesize data to make informed conclusions.
  7. Counterparty Risk Assessment: Possess the ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition using quantitative and qualitative data.
Technical Skills
  1. Finance and Accounting Principles: Understand finance and accounting principles.
  2. Financial Projections: Experience preparing financial projections under various scenarios.
  3. Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Word and Excel.
  4. Capital Markets and Traded Products: Knowledge of capital markets and traded products.
Experience and Education
  1. Work Experience: 4 years of experience as a credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree.
Language

English language proficiency is required, as you will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.

Due to US Federal Securities law applying to this position, candidates will be required to submit to an enhanced background screening, including the collection of their fingerprints by a third-party vendor selected by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
