Position Overview
The Group Retirement Services (GRS) Administration team is responsible for delivering administrative support for a diverse range of group products, such as RRSP, RPP, DPSP, TFSA, and various non-registered plans. In this position, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate records and reporting for GRS clients. Proficiency in the Group Pension Administration System (GPAS) and GRS procedures will be essential for your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage plan and member updates within GPAS, including data modifications, financial transactions, and reporting tasks.
- Address various inquiries and phone calls from different stakeholders.
- Oversee the daily operations of a designated block of business.
- Build and maintain relationships with plan administrators, brokers, advisors, and plan members.
- Tackle sensitive and complex issues promptly and accurately.
Depending on your specific role within GRS, you will be accountable for one or more of the following:
- Comprehensive management of death and marriage breakdown transactions, which includes gathering requirements, communication, handling unique situations, and processing payments to or on behalf of plan members.
- Preparation of standard and customized client reports, including Annual Information Returns and responses to inquiries from external auditors.
- Full-cycle daily administration tasks, such as contribution processing, investment fund modifications, member benefit payments, basic reporting, and support for advisors and plan administrators.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-driven with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook, and advanced skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with investment and retirement arrangements and/or GRS business processes is advantageous.
- Understanding of relevant rules and regulations pertaining to GRS products is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
