As a Senior Employee Relations Specialist at eTeam Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Your expertise will be essential in providing guidance to employees on the use and administration of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and in developing and managing employee communications instruments and complaint resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor company compliance with wage and hour laws, child labor laws, Immigration Reform and Control Act, and ADA requirements
  • Provide overall guidance to employees on the use and administration of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Develop and manage employee communications instruments and complaint resolution processes
  • Provide guidance and counsel to company management on employee relations issues, including interpretation of company policies, performance counseling and documentation, discipline and discharge matters, outplacement and severance arrangements, responding to discrimination complaints, sexual harassment investigations and complaint resolution, wrongful discharge, pre-employment screening, etc.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Labor Relations or HR
  • Prior experience in HR or related roles
  • Experience with union laws and processes
  • Skills: Five years of experience in HR position with 2 years directly in employee relations (or in an increasingly responsible leadership position) preferred, Availability to work MST or PST hours preferred, HR certification preferred, In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment law

Education:

Post-secondary degree/diploma or bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of experience
