Job Description

Pixomondo is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Production Specialist to join our team. As an Unreal Engine Expert, you will be responsible for operating content on LED screens and ensuring immersive environments integrate seamlessly on our Virtual Production stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and Configuration: Set up and configure Unreal Engine to meet the requirements of Virtual Production projects.
  • Performance Optimization: Manage and optimize the performance of Unreal to ensure smooth playback and high-quality visuals for the LED walls.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the VP Supervisor, other operators, technicians, and crew to achieve the desired look and feel of the virtual elements on the stage.
  • Real-Time Operation: Operate the controls and interfaces of Unreal during productions, to manipulate virtual elements in real-time.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted operation of Unreal.
  • Training and Development: Develop and conduct training programs for students on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Unreal Engine.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide students, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
  • Travel: Travel to various locations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Unreal Engine Mastery: Mastery of Unreal Engine along with blueprint scripting languages.
  • Virtual Production Tools: Familiarity with Virtual Production tools, such as cameras, motion capture systems, and real-time compositing software.
  • Rendering Techniques: Understanding of rendering techniques, lighting, shading, and texturing.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication and teamwork with Virtual Production Supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring seamless integration of virtual elements within production.
  • Adaptability: Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and techniques in the rapidly evolving world of Virtual Production.
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Exceptional teaching skills, with experience in developing and conducting training programs.
  • Strong Mentoring Abilities: Strong mentoring abilities to guide and support students and team members.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as required by production schedules.
