We are seeking a skilled Virtual Production Technician to join our team at Pixomondo. As a key member of our Virtual Production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Motion Capture Systems and AV Systems during Pre and Principal Production.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the smooth operation of Virtual Production systems, including cameras, tracking objects, cabling, and AV signal flow.
- Collaborate with the camera department to carry out calibration workflows between takes or lens changes.
- Assist with daily calibration of the mocap and LED volume and calibration of new tracking objects; troubleshoot and resolve calibration issues.
- Communicate effectively with the Virtual Production team regarding changeover status or camera changes.
- Work collaboratively with the VP Supervisor, other operators, technicians, and crew to achieve motion capture or general systems stability quality assurance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted operation of mocap systems and workstations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in ICVFX mocap technology to enhance the quality and efficiency of Virtual Production workflows.
- Strong knowledge of OptiTrack, Vicon, Stype, and other motion capture systems.
- Familiarity with Virtual Production tools, such as cameras, and real-time technology.
- Understanding of traditional production departments and audio-visual commissioning.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and implement effective solutions.
- Effective communication and teamwork with Virtual Production Supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring seamless integration of LED and AV systems.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and techniques in the rapidly evolving world of Virtual Production.
- Open to domestic and international travel on a project-by-project basis.
