Position Overview

The Field Audit Supervisor will oversee our Field Support Services (FSS) team operating throughout Canada, managing a client-centric team while balancing profitability and growth with a focus on our manufactured products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical and customer service resource for clients regarding field services related to engineered electrical heat management systems and solutions.
  • Exemplify and promote the company culture by adhering to safety standards and shared values.
  • Engage directly with customers concerning services, support, and maintenance.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for site-based electrical engineering and heat management support.
  • Deliver new and expanded business opportunities to the Director of Field Services in alignment with the annual performance plan.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and skill development of all FSS technicians.
  • Manage resource scheduling to meet client needs while ensuring profitable growth.
  • Supervise daily operations of all FSS personnel across Canada, including time and expense approvals and performance management.
  • Provide timely and valuable technical training for customers and contractors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
  • Guide the professional development of direct reports and key personnel using Key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budgets for the FSS division.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of building effective relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to provide troubleshooting guidance both in person and remotely.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with scheduling methodologies and applications.
  • Ability to analyze work situations and resolve issues independently.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business development and consultative sales skills with a proven ability to close deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership style, adept at delegating responsibilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio).

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or a diploma in Electrical Technology from a recognized trade school is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive leadership, project management, and sales experience, particularly in customer-facing roles.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer, Professional Technologist, or Certified Engineering Technologist is advantageous.
  • Qualification as a Red Seal Electrician is a plus.
  • Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, & Construction) processes for industrial projects, particularly in the oilfield sector.
  • Understanding of Canadian, US, and EU electrical codes and Quality Management System standards (ISO-9000: 2008 series).
  • Knowledge of Electric Heat Management and Tracing (EHT) is essential.
  • Experience in managing site and field resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing customer-focused delivery teams.
  • Experience in engineering, project management, or operations within a petrochemical facility, power plant, or heavy industrial site.
