Position Location

This position involves projects situated in Eastern Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan daily activities for foremen and crew members.
  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of projects within a specific construction area.
  • Oversee all operations related to a designated discipline or segment of work.
  • Direct craft supervisors within the discipline on-site.
  • Conduct daily inspections of completed work.
  • Provide safety training and awareness for team members.
  • Set budgetary guidelines for projects and ensure adherence to cost control measures.
  • Establish quality benchmarks for all tasks and ensure compliance with quality assurance and company standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a Mechanical Superintendent or leadership role, preferably in infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, dams, and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple disciplines, including steel, piping, and mechanical.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp Kiewit's policies, procedures, and software applications.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience in leadership, safety protocols, negotiations, planning, and contract management.
  • Fluency in French (both written and verbal) is essential.
  • Working knowledge of English (written and verbal) is advantageous, as mobility across Canadian provinces may be necessary. Training may be provided as needed.
