At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a skilled Ironworker Journeyperson to join our team in the Maintenance and Turnaround group. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the group.

The ideal candidate will have experience in erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment. They will also be responsible for assembling rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials, as well as assembling and erecting pre-fabricated metal structures.

The successful candidate will possess a Journeyperson Ironworker (generalist, structural or ornamental) certification and have proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings. They will also have comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.

We are looking for a strong commitment to safety practices and protocols, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required, and have effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

The minimum requirements for this position include Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09, Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor, Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection, Basic Rigging Certification, and satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.

Preferred requirements include Aerial Work Platform, First Aid, and WHMIS.
