Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales for Ontario & Western Canada, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding a profitable client portfolio. This position requires a proactive approach to identify new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a diverse customer portfolio, including regional distributors and direct accounts, while managing forecasts and project initiatives.
  • Coordinate and execute sales strategies within the designated area.
  • Initiate and support customer projects from a technical perspective.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, expos, workshops, and industry conventions.
  • Drive sales growth by targeting potential new accounts and enhancing relationships with established clients through strategic upselling.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and cultivate new business relationships.
  • Provide on-site assistance and support to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Educate clients on the application and benefits of new products.
  • Prepare pricing quotes, credit terms, and sales contracts.
  • Develop sales budgets for assigned territories.
  • Achieve territory sales goals and maintain healthy profit margins.
  • Compile and present monthly sales reports, opportunity grids, and other relevant documentation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and new product developments through various resources.
  • Engage in trade shows and educational seminars to enhance product knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the ingredients or food processing sector.
  • Experience in food preservation and shelf-life extension is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Preferred fields of study include Food Science, Biology, or related disciplines.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
