About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at University Health Network. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment in our hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble mechanical equipment, including fans and blowers, air compressors, and other machinery, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshooting: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in mechanical equipment, using your expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Compile inventory reports to track equipment and supplies, ensuring accurate records and efficient inventory management.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical equipment and systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate in Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a hospital setting or similar environment.
  • Certifications: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification and Construction Millwright Trade Certification.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
