About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hair Stylist to join our team at I Beauty Salon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Style Hair: Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Shampoo and Treat Hair: Shampoo customers' hair, and provide other hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting.
  • Beard and Mustache Services: Shave and trim beards and mustaches, and provide other related services.
  • Supervise and Train: Supervise and train other hair stylists and staff members, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Client Consultations: Consult with clients to determine their hair needs and preferences, and provide personalized recommendations.
  • Receptionist Duties: Perform receptionist duties, including answering phones and handling client inquiries.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Barber Licence.
  • Skills: Blow drying, iron waving/curling, extensions, roller setting, bleach, dyes/tints, frosting, streaking/highlights.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple clients and tasks.
  • Manual Dexterity: Use manual dexterity to perform hair cutting and styling tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Pay attention to detail to ensure that clients receive high-quality services.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods to perform tasks.
