About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team at HOMELIFE CARPENTRY LTD. as a Construction Helper.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials from vehicles and equipment.
  • Material Handling: Transport construction materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient movement.
  • Mixing and Pouring: Assist in mixing and pouring materials such as concrete and asphalt, adhering to specifications and safety protocols.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by leveling earth and removing debris.
  • Demolition: Assist in demolishing buildings and structures, following safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Cleanup: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and debris from construction sites.
Work Environment

The Construction Assistant will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to physical demands, repetitive tasks, and varying weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The Construction Assistant must be physically fit and able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication, but proficiency in Hindi and Punjabi is an asset.
  • Work Schedule: The Construction Assistant will work 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
