Job Title: Project Engineer - Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at M & J Total Transport & Rigging Inc. in a Construction role.

Job Description:

Job Summary: The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct economic analyses and feasibility studies to determine project viability
  • Develop construction specifications and procedures to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Establish and monitor construction work schedules to meet project deadlines
  • Evaluate and recommend building and construction materials to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Interpret and review survey and civil design work to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare contract documents and review tenders for construction projects
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure project delivery
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Determine contract terms and conditions to ensure project success
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications
  • Monitor revenues to determine labor costs and calculate crane capacities

Requirements:

  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Proficient in Primavera, AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
