VCH is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to enhance our healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional nursing services and support to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the inpatient unit. Attend to the needs of primarily elderly residents in a long-term care environment. Provide urgent nursing services to patients of all ages in the emergency department, addressing a wide range of medical issues. Operate both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Promote the quality of life from the perspective of patients and their families. Engage in consultation and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Commit to continuous improvement and adopt best practices in nursing. Exhibit leadership and expertise in nursing practice. Maintain and enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. Participate in assigned committees and approved research initiatives.Community Overview

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Active registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Completion of an accredited advanced nursing program in emergency or critical care nursing, along with one (1) year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills & Competencies
In-depth understanding of nursing principles and practices within a patient-centered care model. Familiarity with BCCNM's standards for nursing practice. Proven ability to implement care plans and assess patient responses. Capability to adapt to unexpected situations, prioritize tasks, and resolve conflicts. Proficiency in managing trauma in emergency scenarios. Strong collaborative skills as part of a healthcare team. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to mentor and guide new staff and students. Competence in clinical techniques and the use of relevant medical equipment. Proficient in CPR techniques and computer systems for patient care management. Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.Additional Information
