Position: Accounting Technician
CB Canada is looking for an Accounting Technician to support our financial operations. Reporting to the Financial Information Manager, this role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Manage inter-company and departmental expenses efficiently;
- Perform bank reconciliations in CAD and multiple currencies;
- Document interest and debt amortization processes;
- Handle source deductions and remittances for GST and QST;
- Prepare essential financial documents for end-of-period, quarterly, and year-end analysis;
- Review and analyze accrued and prepaid expense accounts;
- Engage in the enhancement of financial tools and procedures;
- Contribute to various financial projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a college diploma or Accounting AEC;
- Relevant experience in accounting is an asset;
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Word applications;
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of autonomy and initiative;
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines;
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
