Restaurant Manager Job Description

As a Restaurant Manager at McDonald's Restaurant, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, training employees, and ensuring quality food and service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees who prepare and portion food
  • Train employees in their tasks, cleanliness, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Address customer complaints or concerns
  • Maintain inventory records, repairs, sales, and waste records
  • Prepare and submit reports
Work Environment:
  • Noisy
  • Hot
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Work Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week

  • Help with immediate transition needs of veterans (e.g., moving, housing, etc.)
  • Accompany veterans in translating their military skills and experience into civilian job market language
  • Offer flexible integration options to allow veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace (e.g., gradually increasing hours and responsibilities, etc.)
Support for Indigenous Peoples:
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous employees
  • Provide cultural skills training and/or awareness training for all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous employees
Support for Older Workers:
  • Apply age-discrimination-free hiring policies
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for older workers
  • Offer gradual retirement options to allow older workers to gradually reduce their workload (e.g., flexible hours or reduced work schedule, project-based or seasonal work, etc.)
  • Offer gradual re-entry options for older workers returning to work after retirement (e.g., gradually increasing hours and responsibilities)
Support for Visible Minorities:
  • Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against visible minority members (e.g., anonymous hiring process, etc.)
  • Offer mentorship programs that match visible minority members with experienced employees
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for visible minority members
