This role will report directly to the partner group and provide essential support to all team members.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships while identifying service opportunities.
  2. Conduct reviews of personal and corporate tax returns, along with audit, review, and compilation engagements, ensuring accurate financial statement disclosures.
  3. Provide exceptional service and business insights to clients.
  4. Collaborate closely with partners and senior staff on business processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  5. Offer guidance, coaching, and development to staff at all levels within the firm.
  6. Prepare and deliver technical/internal training sessions for firm personnel.
  7. Oversee engagement financials, including budgets, work in process variances, and billing.
The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Designation or equivalent qualification.
  2. 5-10+ years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
  3. High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), with Caseware and TaxPrep as advantageous skills.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong project management capabilities.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  6. A robust work ethic with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  7. A clear understanding of a client-focused, fast-paced work environment, with the ability to pivot between tasks, prioritize effectively, and manage deliverables to meet competing deadlines.
  8. Experience with owner-managed businesses is considered an asset.
