Your Role:

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our GO Rail Expansion project. This is a significant initiative aimed at transforming transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team of estimators, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Utilize your extensive experience in construction estimation across various project scopes, including civil works, structures, and stations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project drawings and tender documents to fully understand the scope of work and requirements.
  • Employ advanced design models and integrated digital delivery software to evaluate project scope and generate accurate quantities.
  • Develop detailed bills of quantities using your expertise and advanced techniques.
  • Establish comprehensive material price lists, labor costs, and equipment requirements, ensuring accurate pricing of project components.
  • Leverage your industry connections to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
  • Research historical data to compile insightful reports and establish robust estimating guidelines.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all estimating documents to support your calculations.
  • Provide valuable insights during the design process to ensure a smooth transition from planning to execution.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to deliver precise estimates that align with project goals.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support project success.

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in construction estimation, with a proven track record in large-scale projects.
  • A solid educational background in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and blueprints.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and cost control practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
  • Proven leadership abilities to inspire and guide your team towards achieving exceptional results.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with estimation software.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • A commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of your work.
