About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at MYK CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Prepare detailed layouts and plans in accordance with building codes and regulations.
    • Measure and mark locations for construction, using precision tools and equipment.
  • Construction
    • Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
    • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
    • Install and finish interior and exterior surfaces, including drywall, flooring, and trim.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial buildings.
    • Identify and report any defects or issues with construction materials or workmanship.
  • Project Management
    • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
    • Identify and mitigate potential hazards on construction sites.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field is required.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
