About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Niagara Children's Centre. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving the participation and quality of life for children and youth with physical, developmental, and communicative delays and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify strengths and needs of children and youth
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve participation and quality of life
  • Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve treatment goals
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers on strategies to promote participation and independence
  • Conduct assessments and interventions in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, and community-based programs
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy or recognized equivalent
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Strong interest or experience in school-based rehabilitation, autism spectrum disorders, and active rehabilitation for children and youth with neurological and developmental challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
