Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Toridori, our downtown Halifax restaurant. As a Bartender, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer, in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar environment, including the bar area, equipment, and inventory
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service
  • Upsell and promote our menu items and drinks to increase sales and revenue
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Provincial Liquor certification
  • Proven experience as a bartender for at least 6 months
  • Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage and/or Special Events Program is an asset
  • Wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge is required
  • WSET preferred but not required
  • Passion for food, beverage, and providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift and move beer kegs, liquor, and wine boxes
  • Full availability
