Job Title: Concrete Finisher

NPM Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Fills hollows and removes spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operates power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
  • Works at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Imparts desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Instructs apprentices and installs anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
  • Applies hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and waterproofs, damp proofs, and restores surfaces.
  • Repairs, resurfaces, and replaces worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding work environment with heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure high-quality finishes.
Experience:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
