About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Coast Nisku Inn & Conference Centre. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our hotel and conference spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a visually appealing and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our hotel and conference spaces.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn the necessary skills for the position.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with a regular schedule to be determined.
