Quality Assurance Specialist in LNG Projects

The oil and gas client is engaged in supporting the largest LNG project in North America. Protecting personnel, the community, and operations is of utmost importance.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate quality auditing strategies for LNGC Construction and Maintenance Contractors.Establish, uphold, and report on Quality Key Performance Indicators for LNGC and Contractors.Develop and execute a Quality Management Plan for projects and Turnarounds.Collaborate with the Flange management lead to ensure quality assurance on critical flanges and conduct QA checks on contractors in the field.
Brownfield and Turnarounds:
Evaluate Contractor Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), witness hold points, and ensure that welding procedures are reviewed and approved for all construction and fabrication activities related to turnarounds and brownfield projects.Supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract documents through inspection and test plans (ITP).Oversee the contractor's quality control program and maintain associated records (e.g., inspection request packages, pressure test packages, qualifications records for welders and NDT Technicians, calibration records for inspection tools, and progression of As-built redline drawings) throughout construction, reporting deficiencies to the construction manager.Conduct audits of contractors' Quality Management Plans.
Procurement Responsibilities:
Assist the Procurement team by interfacing with contract inspectors performing inspections on behalf of LNGC in remote locations.Ensure quality assurance during the material receiving process, including traceability and spot quality control of critical material receiving Equipment Integrity.
- As the Owner's inspector, coordinate the turnover process and mechanical completions, approving turnover packages.
- Ensure adherence to joint inspection procedures.
Qualifications:
Over 10 years of industry experience in Oil and Gas, with at least 5 years in Quality Assurance management, Flawless programs, or system turnover.Preferably possess an engineering degree; however, a diploma in mechanical or technology will be considered.Experience in Turnaround and Routine Maintenance Preparation, Execution, and Completions.Prior experience as a construction QA/QC coordinator on industrial projects, with preference given to chemical, hydrometallurgy, petrochemical, or heavy industrial experience.Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.Proficient in Microsoft applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.Effective stakeholder engagement skills.Able to manage shifting priorities and deliver on multiple commitments in a timely manner.Proficient in coordinating group efforts and action plans to drive resolution.Competency Assurance experience.Experienced with work platforms such as Microsoft Office Excel and Word.Fluent in English.Ability to interpret discipline-relevant technical documentation.
