About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at G&G Roofing Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons and performing various laboring tasks to ensure the successful completion of our roofing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Erecting and Dismantling Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in the setup and removal of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Tend to and feed machines and equipment used in construction, and perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Assisting Skilled Tradespersons: Provide support to skilled tradespersons, such as roofers, carpenters, and electricians, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Roofing Tasks: Install sheet metal flashings, install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools, and apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces.
  • Single-Ply Roofing Systems: Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Built-Up Roofing Systems: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week, with a permanent employment status.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
