Job Summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Data Caching Support Specialist to join our team. As a Level 3 Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production environment of Autosys, Gemfire, and Redis plants.

Main Responsibilities
  • Handle escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 teams, and manage incidents, requests, and problems.
  • Deep-dive into complex troubleshooting, implement changes, and serve as an escalation point for Level 2 teams.
  • Improve operational processes and automation by identifying, analyzing, and improving existing processes and tools.
  • Work in a global environment with a team that provides 24/7 support in a follow-the-sun manner.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to plan and execute changes.
  • Participate in weekly review meetings and agile ceremonies, and engage with engineering teams to review infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Experience with Linux System Administration (Red Hat preferred).
  • Hands-on data caching support experience (Gemfire or Redis preferred).
  • Familiarity with batch scheduling (Autosys preferred).
  • Familiarity with scripting and orchestration (Perl, Python, Ansible, GitOps).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools and modern observability concepts and tools.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Independent problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and a mindset for taking ownership.
  • Knowledge of operational and agile, DevOps, and SRE concepts.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of infrastructure production support experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
Desired Skills
  • Public/private Cloud experience.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes/Openshift).
  • Experience with work management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Git).
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools (TCPdump, Wireshark).
  • Interest and understanding of emerging IT trends.
