Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and execute business plans to drive revenue growth and expand our client base in the Central Ontario Region market.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to deepen and expand their relationships with Scotiabank.
    • Network and establish relationships with new clients, prospects, and partners to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Team Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of investment professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success and growth.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance, productivity, and client satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and solutions to clients.
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Scotiabank's risk management policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and manage risk associated with client relationships, investment portfolios, and business activities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and ensure client safety and security.
  • Investment Management and Advice
    • Provide investment advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their financial goals and objectives are met.
    • Develop and implement investment strategies and plans for clients, taking into account their risk tolerance, financial situation, and goals.
    • Monitor and adjust investment portfolios as needed to ensure alignment with client goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • University degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in discretionary investment management, covering both financial analysis and managing portfolios.
    • Expert understanding of investment returns, potential risks, and associated tax implications.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Strong risk management and compliance skills.
    • Expert investment management and advice skills.
    • Proficient in financial planning and analysis.
