Job Summary

Harbinger Network Inc. is seeking a seasoned Chief Estimator to join their team. As a key member of the organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the estimating function and providing strategic guidance to the team.

About the Role

The Chief Estimator will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing estimating strategies to ensure accurate and competitive bids
  • Leading a team of estimators to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
  • Providing expert advice on construction estimating methods and techniques
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial construction
  • 10+ years of experience with complex project estimates
  • A degree or technical diploma in Engineering or Construction Technology
  • Designated Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) and/or Construction Estimator Certified (CEC) is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of estimation methods and techniques, construction management budgeting, design-build, and lump-sum tenders
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse personality types
  • Strong client service and public interaction skills, with a customer-focused approach
  • Effective verbal, writing, and interpersonal communication skills
