Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Yamiyaki Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
