About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Tim Ring Property Management. As a key member of our construction and renovation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the installation of wood and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-construction preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accurate measurements and layouts.
  • Material selection and installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to create high-quality installations.
  • Building construction: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a solid and secure structure.
  • Finishing work: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to complete the installation and ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Site survey and assessment: Survey building locations and levels to ensure accurate measurements and assessments.
  • Training and development: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties.
  • Project management: Estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Physical demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Work conditions: The work environment is physically demanding, with tight deadlines and a large workload.
  • Teamwork: The role requires working with minimal supervision, and being a team player with efficient interpersonal skills and accurate judgement.
Requirements
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
