We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Safariland. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating with suppliers to secure materials, supplies, and equipment for our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Procure and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate prices and terms.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely reporting of material status.
- Monitor contracts and orders, and expedite delivery as needed.
- Resolve disputes and issues with suppliers in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, and identify and control risks related to services and supplies.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, materials management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience as a buyer or in a related procurement role.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, practices, and methods, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
