Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Safariland. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating with suppliers to secure materials, supplies, and equipment for our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate prices and terms.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely reporting of material status.
  • Monitor contracts and orders, and expedite delivery as needed.
  • Resolve disputes and issues with suppliers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, and identify and control risks related to services and supplies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, materials management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a buyer or in a related procurement role.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, practices, and methods, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
