Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Bone Marrow Transplant team at Vancouver General Hospital. As a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition to community care.
  • Document care provided and respond to incidents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
