Job Role: We are looking for a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to enhance our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of electrical systems, particularly in relation to superconducting magnet technologies, while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Develop and design Low Voltage and Extra Low Voltage electrical systems and distribution networks.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, operational manuals, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Oversee commissioning activities with an emphasis on safety protocols.
  • Set and uphold design standards across the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in enforcing electrical safety regulations.
  • Background in the design of industrial electrical systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with mains power distribution and associated infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in schematic and panel layout using 2D CAD applications.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in formulating electrical safety policies.
  • Certification as an Authorised Person (LV) or Senior Authorised Person (LV).
  • Understanding of power electronic converters and high-current busbar design.
