Job Title: Electrical Engineer-In-Training

Job Summary:

We seek a self-motivated team player to join our team, providing technical guidance on new and existing project opportunities, interpreting market rules, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to Development, M&A/Commercial, EPC, and Asset Management teams.
  • Interpret market rules for interconnection studies, construction, and operation of generation projects.
  • Review utility studies and expansion plans to identify potential opportunities.
  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure studies meet interconnection requirements.
  • Assist during project design and construction for interconnection-related issues.
  • Perform site visits and report on interconnection facility issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and Boralex safety and environmental standards.
  • Establish required tests and documentation with independent system operators and utilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in power systems engineering in a consulting or utility environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide training on complex operations.
  • Ability to travel 5% - 15% of the time to domestic and international locations.
  • A positive attitude and comfort with flexibility, adaptability, and solutions-oriented approach.
