Job Title: Embedded Systems Engineer

Sonatus, Inc. is a leading provider of software-defined vehicle solutions for the automotive industry. We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Embedded Systems Engineer to design and implement complex in-vehicle software systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, embedded systems, and automotive communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement highly efficient and reliable in-vehicle software systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including code comments and design specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of solutions
  • Analyze and enhance system resource usage for efficiency, stability, and scalability
  • Participate in QA testing events and customer on-site testing events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on embedded systems and automotive communication protocols
  • Proficiency in C++ and experience with modern IPC frameworks, such as gRPC and protobuf
  • Experience with RTOS, Embedded Linux, Android, and/or other embedded operating systems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills and Experience
  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Unified Diagnostics Services over CAN or Ethernet
  • Good understanding of hardware devices, such as MCU, CPU, and Network Switch
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies, and system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Proficient in Python or other scripting languages
